Should I buy low on Forte? Or is he not going to rebound? I'm starting to think that I'm better off holding onto Roethlisberger and let him rot on my
bench than trading and having him hurt me on another team if I can't get fair value, but I was offered the following trade:
Orton & Forte for Roethlisberger & Grant.

Who is your starting QB?

Point - if your primary QB is good enough never to sit, why not upgrade with Forte? I'm not a huge fan of Grant and McCarthy's more inclined to throw
inside the 5 or handoff to Kuhn on a FB dive from up close than to give it to Grant. Plus Green may siphon some playing time from him as well. Forte hasn't
done much this year, but there will be a time when the weather gets colder when they'd be more inclined to keep the ball in his hands than take chances
with the wind.
_________________________________________________ Any thoughts on Ochocinco for Boldin/McGahee. My RBs are MJD, Ronne Brown, Addai, Jonathan Stewart, & Sproles. My WRs are Ocho, Bowe, Manningham, Miles Austin, & Hakeem Nicks. I like Boldin, but a.) he's an injury risk and b.) he's not the primary option as long as Fitzgerald is healthy. Short term, Boldin's status isn't an issue since I'm sitting Ochocinco this week anyways (praying for the hot hands of Miles Austin and Bowe to continue...). McGahee's just gravy, I'd probably just end up dropping either him or Sproles. William |

Dude, you have plenty of RB depth. When would McGahee even play for you?
Ocho>Boldin. Boldin's in a three headed WR combo with a lingering injury. Stick with what you got. We will never forget you. Thanks for everything, Brent.

When I said 'gravy', I meant 'garbage'. I'm trying to swing a Portis/Addai swap to sweeten the deal. I like Ochocinco, but if he can
upgrade my RBs even further he won't be missed.
EDIT: and he went for it. Kinda having second thoughts now on Portis since he's banged up, but I didn't really feel good about Addai going forward anwways. Thanks for your help. William

I would say go for it, then. Since it's Roethlisberger and Forte's value is low right now, you might be able to press for a bit more. But Orton is fine
as a backup for Brees, and I think Forte will start putting it together soon...and Grant is pretty much worthless.

Kind of vague Q here... I have a guy bugging me about potential making a trade, but never making any offers. We might match up, so thought I'd get some
opinions.
My Roster QB Brady QB Flacco RB Jones-Drew RB Benson RB Maroney RB Harrison, CLE WR Manningham WR Boldin WR Breaston WR Garcon WR Massaquoi, CLE TE Scheffler TE Finley To me, my clear needs are a #1 WR and a #1 TE. If I have depth anywhere to trade, its at QB. Flacco's been having a strong enough year to be a decent starter. I think Brady would be good to sell high on. So I'm thinking Brady as the main piece on my side. Here's his WR and TE that I think I have interest in: WR Calvin Johnson WR Sims-Walker WR DeSean Jackson TE Owen Daniels So I guess the question: Is the drop-off from Brady to Flacco greater than the gain from Scheffler/Finley to Daniels + one of those WR? What I'm leaning towards proposing at the moment is Brady for Johnson+Daniels. I get the TE upgrade right away, and once Johnson gets healthy I might get a big upgrade at WR as well. Sims-Walker and Jackson are nice, but probably won't be much better than what I already have. Johnson at least has the potential to get back to stud status in the next few weeks. We will never forget you. Thanks for everything, Brent.

I actually think with Scheffler and Finley, you have a pretty good pair of TEs to choose from. You say you're thinking about it to sell high on Brady, but
I don't think there's such a thing with him.
But you would totally be buying high. Owen Daniels is solid, but he's been on fire lately and I don't think he'll keep that up, especially when Andre Johnson comes back. And while you should be buying low for Calvin Johnson, using Brady to trade for him was be completely over-valuing Johnson. He's a stud, but with serious QB issues. I suggest no trade, unless he has something better to offer. Then again, i'm not the best person to answer cause I rarely make a trade. It sounds like this guy wants to make a trade just to make a trade.

I got offered Willis McGahee for Julius Jones straight up.
Should I take it? Is McGahee that much of an upgrade over Jones? I'm saying no. |

Julius Jones is pretty much worthless. He probably has a better chance at putting together a big game than McGahee, but you gotta get lucky and pick that game.
With Rice getting most of the carries in Baltimore, they're both pretty worthless other than a backup to your backup. I would take McGahee just because I think he's more talented.

I'd keep Jones, even though he doesn't have a great deal of value at least he is Seattle's unquestioned #1 RB. Jones still has these palate
pleasing match-ups awaiting him: 9 Det / 10 @Ari / 12 @StL / 13 SF / 14 @Hou / 15 TB / 17 Ten. McGahee's schedule is a lot tougher. I'd stand pat.

Just a note that Arizona ain't the cupcake on defense they used to be. After watching last Sunday's game against the Giants, I think their run-stopping
prowess is for real.

In addition to Ari's run D being good,#1 in the league in yards allowed per game, SF and Ten are also in the top 10.

I have a lot more trade opportunities this season than I have had in the past...
Can you guys help me out with this one? I have two teams asking about Joe Flacco, my backup QB. I'd be getting a decent WR off them, I have a terrible WR corps. So, rank these WR: Calvin Johnson T.J. Houshmanzadeh Percy Harvin Austin Collie Mike Wallace DeSean Jackson Michael Crabtree Mike Sims-Walker Devin Hester Or at least group them into tiers? I gotta sort through them and decide who to ask for from each team first. Anything can happen, and it probably will.

I think DeSean Jackson is in a tier by himself on that list.
After that, I would group them as: Calvin Johnson (assuming his recovery goes well) Harvin Houshmanzadeh Hester Sims-Walker Crabtree Collie Wallace I think if you can get either Jackson or someone from the first group, then get Crabtree thrown in, it could be a steal. Crabtree hasn't even come close to hitting the value that he might be a few weeks from now. Just my guess. I also would be worried about Calvin Johnson coming back strong. Every single week there's talk about if he'll play or not, then it goes back and forth, then he ends up sitting. That kind of talk freaks me out about a guy, because it always ends with him coming back, then saying he came back too soon, then taking some time to get into a groove when he finally comes back for real, and by the time he's useful you're already bumped from the playoffs. It could payoff, but I would call it risky.

Thanks Jazzy.
One guy flat said no, the other countered with a TE: I give: Brady + Scheffler He gives: Palmer or Warner + Vernon Davis (or I could ask for Dallas Clark) Its starters for starters, so its a zero sum trade. I'm iffy on it. What do you think? Anything can happen, and it probably will.

I would ask for Dallas Clark. Davis just started turning things around, and who knows how many times they play musical QBs in San Fran. Clark would be much
more solid. And I would take Palmer over Warner at this point.

Winslow Jr. for Reggie Bush. I know garbage for garbage but I lost Owen Daniels for the season and I need a guy I can rely on more than the other scrap heap TE
we have available in free agency. I guess from my perspective I don't have anything to lose because Bush has really very little value right now (maybe
he's a #3 RB, but that might be generous). I see Winslow as a border line #1 TE but his inconsistency pushes him to a #2.
Thoughts? |

Have you played Reggie Bush more than once this season? I'm guessing not, and if you did it didn't work out.
