The whole Collins affair makes me angry, while in the case of Jennings I think we sorta over-paid by a bit, but it was a signing that we had to do. Agree that
Collins has to show that he can truly QB this new D, and if he and his agent don't grasp that, all while he's making $3 mil+, then I hope, in a
perverse way, that he breaks his female organs this fall. Just kidding, but his approach is just plain stupid!

I think the biggest reason the Packers haven't addressed Collins yet is because they still don't know how well he will fit into the new defensive
scheme. I am sure some of the responsibilities are similar but some are different. Him missing some of the OTA's I am sure has put him behind. I actually
applaud the Packers if this is there reasoning. They brought in Smith, who has experience in the 3-4, and who's to say that Smith can't do it better.

This looks like it's a 4 year deal going through 2012. The length seems a bit short, but considering he'll be 29 when it expires, I like it. The team
should be better off gauging of whether or not he's still worth that type of money at the end of the deal rather than speculating right now. Doling out
money to skill position players into their 30s is risky business, so the more accurate your assessment the better.

If I was Collins I would wonder why they refuse to negotiate with me and how to change that. Had he actually played to the level of Jennings he would have been
as high a priory as Jennings. I think what Collins is missing is his culpability in why the Packers have been slower to address his desires than they were
Jennings.

I guess Collins should learn to keep his mouth shut when the team refuses to negotiate with him. The only real difference I see is that the Packers wanted to
handle these deals one at a time (assuming they do, in fact, want to extend Nick Collins).

Well done by all involved. This is the way it should work out. Players who have made good contributions for a period of time get paid what they are worth. That
it is done in such a way as to pay the player yet keep the future economic outlook bright only adds to how good this deal is for both sides. I think Nick
